MAD BUTCHER _ How did you start the label? Well, I remember the time as I was a little skinhead. I was allways looking for a label, releasing stuff that I like. I never found one, so I decided to do my own one. Mad Butcher was born. _ Do you have a specific style of music you are trying to promote? I started four years ago with a pure OI! label called Mad Butcher Records. Later I started Slaughterhouse Productions, wich is releasing melodical punkrock. Also Black Butcher Records, which is releasing ska. For the future are two more labels planned, Mad Butcher Soul and Mad Butcher Classics. _ Do you, as albel, value the message of bands more than their sound? Good music and powerful lyrics are two things wich belong together. I allways try to release bands wich have to say something. There's to much mainstreamshit on the market at the moment, I want to be diferent. _ Do you work with other labels? I'm sometimes in contact with other labels. Sometimes we trade some stuff or songs, but normaly I'm still enjoying my independence. _ What other german labels work with left wing bands? What a question. May be you should give me a deffinition where your left wing opinion starts. There a still a lot of labels wich support antifascism. Knock Out Records, Teenage Rebel Records or Bad Taaste Records for exampel. But there isn't any leftwing OI! label than mine until Nightmare Records stopt releasing records. _ It seems like the skinhead scene is really growng , and with ska and oi! enjoying a lot attention. Is it important now to politieize our culture with leftist values? I think it's important to show, that there is no space for any rightwing politics. It isn't important if you are antiracist or comunist, there's just a reason for fighting together, to destry everything that's against human being. It doesn't matter wich way you take, if you fight with words or weapons, ther's allways an argument. DESTROY FASCISM!. _ How do you feel about bands who lean toward leftist politics but wont come out of the closet (Ex. Templars, Zakarrak...) Who seem to be very sympatetic towards the left? That's a typicaal leftwing illness. Our enemys have a better organisation. You'll find them in the internet, they have their own newspapers and plety of parties. One reason for this is, that the are supported by big industrie bosses, but an other reason is that most of our comrades are to much involved by drinking, drugs and hanging around. Thinks that make people lazy, and stop their political activities. _ How do you feel about bands like Ultima Thule and Boze Oskel? I hate bands like them, but it's still warning. Bands like Böhse Onkelz, Midgards Söner and Ultima Thule show us which way the society is going. Patriotism today is something wich is compatible again This is a warning, now they are singing about their wonderful countries and tomorrow about gassing people and concentrationcamps. Bands like this are very dangerous, nobody knows the result of their political propaganda now. May be the patriots of today, will be the SS of tomorrow. _ Many skins today think that they must not be politiced. Is George Marshall with his "Spirit of 69" direcly responsible for this? George Marshall is nothing else than a comercial asshole. The skinhead way of life doesn't mean mean, you have to be a comunist, but if you look at the past, you see our roots. Skinheads, a subculture group formed by black inmigrants can't be involved by racism. To be a Skinhead, means to be antifascist. Skinhead means streetsocialism. Being nonpolitical is colaoration with the enemy, colaboration is reaction. There is no difference between nonpoliticals and fascists. _ What oi! bands do you like today? I'm not only listening to Oi! music, ther is plenty of bands I like. Here are my favorites: Blaggers ITA, Mano Negra, Newtown Neurotics, Angelic Upstarts, Red London, Redskins, Culture Shock, Attila the Stockbroker, Barnstormer, The Ferrymen, Banda Bassotti and so on. _ Why have you decided to put out two albums by italian by italian band "Klasse Kriminale" who have a very shade past? I haven't released the albums of Klasse Kriminale, but I can't understand your problem about. At the moment Antonella went on the right, she had to leave the band. There's noone else wich is doing so much for the italien skinhead scene than Marko from Klasse Kriminale. I saw K. Kriminale in Milano, together with Ghetto 84 & Nabat on a benefit gig in a squat called Leon Cavallo in front of 4000 people. A gig to support a woman who lost her husband by a fascist attack. I saw Marco on stage crying "No Fascismo" wearing an Angelic Upstarts T-shirt. I know the band personaly and be sure that they are a pure skinhead band, antiracist but not comunist. _ What skinzines are the most important for you at the moment? Well, there's no fanzine that's radical enough, may be yours is, but how could I know? The best skinheadfanzines in Germany at the moment are: Skin up, Revolution Times and Untite. _ What do you think about RASH? Well, how to say. I'm not interested in any anarchist organisation. One thing that I cannot understand is that comunist trye to work together with anarchist. I think are not really enemys but it's a kind of politic I can't accept!. _ Something you whant to add?
