The Organisation for the Developmente
of the Childhood in Calcutta is an organisation created in Cantabria after our
participation in the program of voluntary service of IIMC in Calcutta.
Our aim is to collaborate with the
different projects of the indian NGO I.I.M.C. (Indian Institute for Mother and Child). The
main task of ODIC is to support from Spain the Project of Sponsorship of IIMC, contributing
with new sponsorships so that more children can iniciate a basic education. This education will
provide them not only culture, but also health and a future with labour possibilities.
Also we collaborate in the promotion of poor families and in the support to mothers,
promoting their entrance in the labour world.
