REGISTRATION TO 10th BIEN CONGRESS (Barcelona, 19-20 September, 2004)


The Congress will be held this year within the framework of the Universal Forum of Cultures, as part of the Dialogue on "Human Rights, Emerging Needs and New Commitments" organised by Catalonia's Institute of Human Rights (18-21 September 2004).

In order to register to BIEN Congress it is enough to register to the Dialogue mentioned above. You may register in different ways:



a.. Directly on-line at http://www.barcelona2004.org/eng/eventos/dialogos/ficha.cfm?IdEvento=185.


b.. Filling in the registration form you will find at that website and sending it by fax (0034 93 4897017) or by post to the address which is indicated there. (This registration form is in Spanish for the moment, so make sure to mark the right Dialogue: "Derechos humanos, necesidades emergentes y nuevos compromisos").


c.. By phone (0034 901242004); you will have to specify the title of the Dialogue.


The registration fee before 31 July is 78 euros (35 euros for students); there is a 15% discount for people over 65, under 25, or disabled. Payment of the fee includes:


1.. Entrance to BIEN Congress.


2.. Entrance to the whole Dialogue (from 18 to 21 September); sessions of Saturday 18th and Tuesday 21st (immediately before and after BIEN Congress) offer a very interesting programme on Human Rights; it is for this reason that we strongly recommend to attend also these sessions if possible.


3.. Entrance to the Forum site, including all the exhibitions and shows.


4.. Entrance to two receptions: one on Saturday 18th organised by the Dialogue, and one on Monday 20th specifically organised by BIEN-RRB.


5.. Finally, the fee also includes coffe-breaks.


The documents of the Congress and the Dialogue will be available from 17 September at the Forum's Registration Centre, which is located at the entrance to the Forum site (corner of Taulat with Rambla Prim).

The on-line registration form includes also the possibility of booking accommodation in different areas of the city and with different price levels. Accommodation should be arranged by participants, and we recommend to do it as soon as possible.
