PRESENTATION
When the peace process in the Middle East is more fragile than ever and xenophobic attitudes in Europe are increasing due to the migration phenomenon, it seems necessary to  
implement educational programs that favor a change in the attitudes of the youth at the time when they are confronting conflicts and manifested inequalities of the region. ASDE - 
Scouts of Spain- and the Spanish Committee for  UNICEF have been working since 1995 on activities of cultural exchange and formation in the scope of Intercultural Education  
Bridge of Cultures Forum ‘97 
Mohedas de la Jara (Toledo, Spain) 
 
and Education for Peace. Starting from these experiences, in 1998 the Peace in the Mediterranean  program is set in foot with the objective of promoting respect and cultural  
enrichment through knowledge and exchange, using as strategies of communication, the training and activities with youths from the perspective of education for peace.  
 
 
 
 
OBJECTIVES
  • To create a forum of democratic and plural participation for interchanging information, realities and experiences in the scope of Education for Peace.
  • To increase the multiplicator effect of the program through training activities. 
  • To carry out direct and indirect socio-educative interventions as means of sensibilization and promotion.
