Regarding the trial and sentence against Santiago Botan Villoldo I would like to communicate the following to the Spanish Government while there is still time for an appeal:

Due to the irregular circumstances surrounding this case as well as the sentence of 4 years in prison for Santiago Botana Villoldo, I would like to say that I strongly believe in his innocence and believe that Santiago shouldn't be convicted for something he didn't do.

The Spanish Government should take into consideration the following:

-The sentence of 4 year in prison is for something that took place in 1995.

-Santiago Botana is an integrated individual developing an important social task, organizing public awareness by informing and communicating the latest news.

-The incarceration of Santiago Botana does a greater damage than good since a chance to appeal seems impossible.

-The aim of the sentence, according to Spanish Laws, is to re- integrate Santiago which has already been achieved, therefore the sentence is unnecessary.

Taking all of this in to consideration I encourage you to recognize the innocence of Santiago Botana.
