Comité Contra el SIDA (CoCoSI), which translates to Committe fighting against AIDS, is a AIDS awareness group run by a group of youth in Santa Marta, a pueblo in the department of Cabañas, El Salvador.

CoCoSI puts on workshops in Cabañas and in border towns of Honduras with topics focused around HIV transmission and prevention. But, CoCoSI believes that holding workshops on the HIV/AIDS epidemic is not enough and that if we are serious about getting this deadly and oppressive virus under control we must also work diligently to change machista attitudes and expose the myths society has created. Therefore, through promotion, accompaniement, education, and plays, CoCoSI has expanded its focus to include themes including, but not limited to, sexuality, violence, national reality, and machismo.
