CP of Peoples of Spain, Capitalism Means Corruption.
On the series of extremely serious events in which politicians and businessmen are involved, thus showing the alarming high level of corruption in which the Spanish society is relying,
the Executive Committee of the Communist Party of the Peoples of Spain DECLARES
As when we speak about the causes of the capitalist crisis, we would be mistaken if we tried to look for the origin and reasons of corruption somewhere else than in the capitalist system. The cause of the corruption, inequality and violence that hits this society is in the central core of a system based on the society’s division in classes and in the exploitation of the people.
The biggest corruption event is found in the primary fact of people´s exploitation, in the plunder of natural resources and the difference in people´s chances based on their origin.
After taht, we find a political system which is profesionalized and elitized; a system that needs something more than the huge amounts of money that it gets from our taxes. The dependence from the public money and the private companies, makes those politicians avoid any other purpose than perpetuating the system.
The structural corruption (economic, political, ideological…) impregnates the whole society and, after being assimilated by the working class, it prevents the working class from accomplishing the historical task of destroying the capitalist system and the construction of a society, the socialist society, where the material basis of exploitation dissappear and, therefore, the corruption as a structural and inherent fact to social formation dissappears also.
The generalized corruption, apart from denying the present and the future, is directly paid by the working class, the popular strata and the youth with our work and our money. Every euro taken by the corrupts goes to the share of the capital income and is taken away from the labour income.
The necessary response
Apart from the legal measures that the system ocasionally adopts against some of the elements and the corruption events, communists must take advantage of the cases like Gürtel, Santa Coloma, Marbella, El Ejido, Bigastro… and so many cases, in order to break the social consensus that allows that all this happens without any political or social cost for capitalism.
The ideological struggle has to show once again that this system does not have anything positive to offer us and that, inside its frame, there are no possible alternatives for the working class and the social majority.
Corruption and capitalism are synonymous words. That is why the capital’s dictatorship feeds the corruption and the corrupts. During the Franco regime, the biggest corruption cases took place with total impunity; today, its heirs still enjoy the same impunity, even when some pawns fall. The king and his family, the bankers, the system’s political parties that have bank debts worth millions which have not been executed, the “social agents” that are constantly receiving favours and money from the State… all of them are the basis on which the corruption and the capitalist domination system are grounded.
